Needlecraft is for anyone who has an interest in stitching, whatever their level or experience and covers embroidery, patchwork/quilting, cross-stitch, knitting and any other needle crafts. For examples see our photos below (click on a photo for a larger image).
Our group members have a range of skills and it is always special to see less experienced members producing work that they have completed themselves, perhaps for the first time.
We meet at 2pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month in the mews at Pat Howell’s home in Oakhill. It is a nice big space with good light and plenty of room to sit either round the main table or in a more comfortable chair.
Sometimes, we will visit craft/embroidery exhibitions together as a group instead of our usual meeting.
Pat is the Group Leader. She is a member of Wells Quilters and also the Avalon Branch of the Embroiderers Guild. She is currently learning Japanese embroidery.
This photograph shows work produced by our members and displays the wide range of skills that exist within the Group.
The Group is full at present but potential new members can be placed on a waiting list.
