This group continues to grow in both number and confidence! It’s a proven fact that singing is good for the health and we can wholeheartedly vouch that it is also good for the soul! Sometimes we arrive feeling a bit under the weather or, indeed fed up with the weather, but by the time we leave there are smiles all round!

Our song book covers a wide range of songs from great old favourites to the likes of Abba, Elton John, Robbie Williams and the like. We always sing a couple of folk songs as well, and about half way through we up the fun level with a round or something similar. It’s amazing how bold you can be in a friendly, non-threatening situation!

We meet at 10:30 on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month at the Salvation Army Hall in Commercial Road and charge £1 which covers the cost of hall hire. Refreshments are available when we finish so chat can continue undisturbed! There is no limit to the number of members we can accommodate – the more the merrier! Musical ability is not a necessity, just enthusiasm and gusto. If you have these and enjoy singing, do come along!
