NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given that a Special General Meeting of Shepton Mallet U3A will be held at Peter Street Rooms, Peter Street, Shepton Mallet BA4 5BL on Thursday, 1st February 2018 at 10:20am for the purpose of considering, and if deemed fit, to approve the following resolution:
That the Constitution of Shepton Mallet U3A, Article 3 ‘Charitable Purposes’ be amended, as directed by the Third Age Trust in consultation with the Charity Commission, to the following:
“The advancement of education and, in particular, the education of older people and those who are retired from full time work by all means, including associated activities conducive to learning and personal development.”
