Dear members,
First of all, thank you to those of you who have already renewed your membership of u3a. It was nice to see so many of you at the Shrubbery last Thursday and Friday – wasn’t it a lovely cake! – and quite a few have renewed online. If you haven’t got round to it yet, please do it as soon as you can.
It was very unfortunate that we had to cancel our planned Picnic in the Park, especially as the weather was so lovely! But we felt it was the right thing to do. We hope that when we have the tree-planting in the autumn (date tbc) we will be able to have a little celebration then.
Finally, a reminder that our AGM is on Thursday 6th October, before the speaker meeting, at 10 am in the Salvation Army Hall. The talk this time is on Road Safety.
